Out now on iTunes UK and iTunes USA via Knowledge Giving Records and digitally distributed by Island/Def Jam is the brand new album from UK artist Big Dutty Deeze. Coming up through the ranks on the mixtape circuit he soon started to get a strong underground following gaining over 4000 fans on Facebook and over 100,000 views on You Tube with a string of commendable music videos.

The album kicks off with ‘The English Gentleman’ a track that sees Deeze go in with straight punchlines and killer bars, before getting the album’s most accessible track ‘Time Is Wasting’ featuring Wanda on the hook. One of the albums highlights then follows with ‘Never Understand Us’ a track featuring Crown Heights underground legend Ruste Juxx as well as KGB Chicago recording artist Prome.

The album has its deeper moments too with ‘Tomorrow Never Comes’ being one of them, ‘Fire’ is straight up neck snapping Hip-Hop and the albums first leak ‘This Is England’ follows. I really enjoyed Big Dutty Deeze’s singing on the ‘Daydream’ track as much as enjoyed the cuts on ‘Rediculus Bars’ from UK DJ & producer Jabba Tha Kut. The beats are made to perfection as Deeze flows with ease.

The darker side of Big Dutty submerges three quarters of the way with ‘Madman’ sending me slightly dizzy and ‘Hallelujah’ giving me massive food for thought. I was kind of glad the next track was ‘Ganja Anthem’ so I too could blaze one up, before getting into the deeper ‘I Can't Take It No More’ before getting a final round up in the form of ‘Life Of An Englishman’. The journey is complete and it’s safe to take off your seatbelt.

Its well delivered debut that has a certain essence that so many other UK albums lack. It’s exciting and in parts it’s very adventurous but the album benefits so much from it. Rediculus is a dope producer and Big Dutty Deeze is a super tight emcee, their efforts and levels can be heard on every track as the bang hard. This is one of my favourite albums of 2012 so far, I’m not kidding. On the real, this album is a future classic. Wolverhampton stand up.
