DAVID BANNER
David Banner is one of the worlds most underrated. Those Rago Magazine readers who were with us from the start back in 1999 will know we have always supported his music, so it's a pleasure to review his new material. Featuring a whole bunch of superstars we get the tracks like the head-banging 'Suicide Doors'. Featuring UGK, this track really hits home as we get a killer verse from then now sadly departed Pimp C (R.I.P), alongside one of David Banners best verses on the album, with Bun B mellowing it out with a calmer more smoother flow. This track is a real big one. '9mm' has to down of collaboration of the year with the like of David Banner teaming up Akon, Lil Wayne & Snoop over a superb bass shaking 808 beat. The tracks all have a quality feel to them and really are worth their weight in gold. There's real crossover potential too with club bangers such as 'Get At Me' which features ATL's Yung Joc & R'n'B superstar Chris Brown. This album really shows how David Banner has grown, not only with his production but as an artist too. One of the true Southern legends back in big way, Go get this! Review by Tricksta |
