GUILTY SIMPSON
‘Ode To The Ghetto’
(Stones Throw)
www.stonesthrow.com/guiltysimpson

Guilty Simpson was officially one of J. Dilla’s favourite MC’s, and as soon as I put this album on I understood why. His gritty swagger makes Guilty Simpson one of the best things to come out Detroit for a few years. The bass led Oh No produced ‘Footwork’ is one of the real highlights of the album, shaking my speakers and instantly making my head nod. The J Dilla produced ‘I Must Love You’ also bangs hard with an infectious hook and ‘Run’ featuring Duck Down recording artist Sean P and Black Milk is a pure musical treat. This is a must buy CD for any real Hip-Hop fan. It’s real; it bangs and just has a special quality to it. Dope.
