QB stand up because this new fifteen track CD is totally off the chain. Coming out on Brooklyn label Dirt Class and produced mainly by Sid Roams with other beats supplied by Sebb, Jake One and Benny Needles, ‘Product Of The 80’s’ is somewhat of classic. Key tracks include ‘Test Tune Babies’ where Prodigy spits bars like ‘America is the goons, we police the world’ and says that America is the mafia for the royal family! How deep. ‘Stop Stressin’ and ‘In The Smash’ also impressed me. On the whole though, as with most releases that Mobb Deep have done, you can actually put this CD on and just listen to it from start to finish. It’s got a real old skool feel to it in the beats but the bars are very, very current! Quality New York rap at its best.
