Ras G ‘Down 2 Earth’ The Standard Edition Ramp Recordings Ras G is an instrumental Hip Hop producer from South Central L.A. He has been a fixture on the underground Hip Hop scene pumping out instrumentals since the early 1990’s and founded his own label Poo-Bah back in 2005. On ‘Down 2 Earth’ Ras G combines an eclectic mix of experimental styled music which he calls “Ghetto Sc-Fi”. The 21 track instrumental album is speckled with samples all woven together with dirty sometimes distorted beats and bass lines, it kind of sounds as if you’re tuning in a radio. The longest track is 2.28 minutes and shortest is 23 seconds, it’s easy to just put this album on and drift away. ‘Down 2 Earth’ is available now on Ramp Recordings and many other outlets.
