In essence, this compilation is a showcase of the production skills of DJ Allah Mathematics. This is the man who was asked by RZA to design the logo for his upcoming crew, “The Wu-Tang Clan”. Hailing from South Side, Jamaica, Queens. Mathematics (Born Ronald M. Bean), began DJing in 1987 at block parties in his local area. In 1990 he first linked with Wu by the way of GZA, who was part of the “All In Together Now”. This crew later became Wu-Tang Clan. Mathematics graffiti skills got him the job of designing the instantly recognised Wu logo. This album is all tightly produced, with hard beats from start to finish. The whole Clan feature on the mic (even O.D.B.) & this album is a mixture of unreleased & remixed tracks. Stand out track for me is “Clap 2010”, and the quality is maintained throughout. Return Of The Wu & Friends really leaves Wu fans eagerly anticipating the Ghost, Meth & Rae album “Wu Massacre”, scheduled for March release this year. This is a slammin’ selection of tracks.
