I first heard K-RINO in 1992 on Willie D’s album “Im Goin Out Lika Soldier”on the track”U Still A Aggin” Then I heard him on various S.P.C artist albums like, The Terrorist’s and 20-2-Life over the years and used to think this cat is sick! These were the days before the internet, so it was hard to get southern rap out here in the UK. Then finally, in 2000 I saw an advert for this album in Murder Dog, I hit up K-RINO and managed to get a copy of this album to review for Rago back when it was a print magazine…. THAT is when I realised that K-RINO is one of the best lyricists in hip hop.. Period. He touches on subjects the average person living an average life can really relate to, as well as have tremendous battling skills and story telling ability. Usually in review’s I mention my favourite tracks but on this cd as well as all the other K-RINO cd’s I’ve got I don’t skip tracks when I listen to him, you can tell every bar he writes is well thought about. This release is 17 tracks deep and features all the usual Southpark Coalition (S.P.C) members on here as well as the late great DJ SCREW. There are a lot of people coming out of Houston at the moment but S.P.C are one of the true originators of this music. There has also been a lot of East coast fans saying the South isn’t lyrical but K-RINO dispels this myth once you have this cd you’ll be hooked, he has another 14 cd’s for you to check out! This cd is still available from   www.southparkcoalition.com.
