![]() MASTER P ‘Ghetto D’ (No Limit Records/Priority Records) www.myspace.com/masterp Released back in September 1997, ‘Ghetto D’ is one of the all-time best albums on No Limit’s massive catalogue. Why? Be because it has everything you would expect from a Master P album and a little bit extra chucked in for good faith. ‘Ghetto D’ or ‘Ghetto Dope’ was a regional classic and sums up the vibe coming out of the South at that time. The album features the massive ‘Make Um Say Uggh’ as well as featuring some of the soldiers of the tank at that time such as Mia X, Mystikal, Mac, C-Murder, Fiend and Silkk Tha Shocker. The legendary Pimp C from UGK (R.I.P) also contributes making this one of the best albums on No Limit period! The production on the album from Beats From The Pound is tight all the way through making this not only a gangsta rap classic but an all-time rap classic. This is Master P at his best firing off songs like nothing else and released at a time when 2Pac had so sadly passed away, this album just seemed to represent so much and I think really sums up what was happening in that era.
