![]() THE NOTORIOUS B.I.G ‘Ready To Die’ (Bad Boy Records) www.myspace.com/notoriousbig An all-time classic album by anybodies standards ‘Ready To Die’ was a long-player that changed New York Rap forever. Recorded at the infamous D&D Studios in the heart of New York, this dropped in September 1994. It was one of the first hardcore Hip-Hop albums to really crossover to gain massive commercial success reaching quadruple platinum status. Production come mainly from Easy Mo Bee and Sean ‘Puffy’ Combes, but also had important contributions from the likes of Pete Rock who produced the massive ‘Juicy’, the legendary DJ Premier with the R.Kelly sampling ‘Unbelievable’ and the jazz infused ‘Suicidal Thoughts’ produced by Lord Finesse is one seriously deep affair. The whole album is classic, no filler, no killers. ‘One More Chance’ featuring Total, ‘The What’ featuring Method Man and ‘Big Poppa’, the list goes on. You can not say you are into Rap or Hip-Hop unless you own a copy of this album. Review by Tricksta www.myspace.com/trickstawolftown |
