As a rapper, AC has definitely paid his dues. Independently selling 40,000 units is no easy task and as is playing in venues all over the world along side names such as Common, Wu-Tang Clan, Nore, The Outlawz, Klashnekoff, Sway and Jay Sean. AC is a without a shadow of a doubt a real MC. An MC with a certain unique passion about his beliefs and that really shows in his music, lyrics, flow and delivery. Now he unleashes his new extended player full of quality organic Hip-Hop goodness. ‘New Day EP’ is a collaboration project with UK producer and super sick scratch deejay Jabba Tha Kut who really does come up with the goods here injecting some real soulful grooves on cuts like ‘Take A Stand’ and ‘Don’t Sleep’. AC shows great lyrical talent and deep bars on ‘That’s True’ and the title track sees Genesis Elijah pass through for a nice collaboration that also features D21 who both go in nice over a laid back groove led by a nice live bassline. A really good solid EP with depth and integrity.
