London rapper & actor AC has been around in UK Hip-Hop for as long as I can remember. His output and work ethic has to be admired and once again he has come up trumps with a brilliant free download EP. Produced by Ill Thought Process the tracks are really well produced with some great ideas both creatively and conceptually. The title track Genesis Elijah is one of the best tracks I’ve heard in 2012 and ‘Gone Too Long’ also needs crediting as one of the EP’s high-lights. In an era where a lot of emcees are pin-pointing their “swagger” (do people still use that word? Lol) to one style, AC doesn’t, he just does what he has always done and that’s to express himself with ease over beats. What ever the tempo AC always smashes it, but this particular EP has to be a must for any really UK Rap fan. Four tracks deep, this ‘straight to the point’ release is a release that all rap fans have to check for. Forget the glitz and the glamour; get yourself up on some quality music because AC is the truth… real talk!
