GORY DAYS – A Night of Heavy Hip Hop and Dirty Burlesque...

Saturday 10th October, at The Dogstar.

Live Hip Hop: Kashmere & Verb T (YNR), Joker Starr (Flukebeat), First & Last.

DJs: Beat Butcha (Halal Beats), J'da Kut (Sensei.fm), Invincible Armour (4 turntablists showcase with live beatboxing)

`Hardcore Burlesque: Miss Vermilion Embers

The first time London has ever seen Hip Hop and Burlesque together! A night to thrill heads that like their music heavy and their entertainment distinct. Hip Hop from UK legends and up and coming acts that all keep their Hip Hop raw. Then a most interesting twist of burlesque is thrown in.
This is not for the faint hearted, so do be prepared to break your neck, loose control and be submerged in Gory Days...they may be your last !

Verb T & Kashmere are 2 of the best MC's the UK has to offer!

Kashmere’s influences range from David Brubeck to M.F. Doom and are not confined to one genre or style. Kashmere’s latest offering is the incredible ‘Raiders Of The Lost Archives’ released on Jehst’s YNR Productions imprint.

Verb T has a unique style and lyrical outlook not often found in hip hop music. In 2006 Verb T and Harry Love released “Bring it Back to Basics”, regarded by many as a classic album. Verb T followed that with the “Broken Window” album produced The Last Skeptik.

Miss Vermilion Embers will be performing some of her best gory Burlesque Routines for us on the night: a voodoo mistress and a nurse with a rather bizarre bedside manor.

On the turntables, we'll have a special guest! Coming back all the way from Amsterdam, Beat Butcha will be playing the best of Hip Hop! Not only is he a dope producer, he's also a dope DJ!

Joker Starr - This off flow, on flow, unique Mc has been taking the U.K by storm. In short the vitality, authenticity and personality he feels UK Hip Hop is lacking at present Joker Starr supplies in abundance every opportunity he gets.

First & Last - Making much noise in the underground, First and Last are unleashed! Do not miss the oppurtunity to catch them live.

Invincible Armour - This scratch crew consisting of Dj Ironfingaz, Dj Dizar, Dj Downlow, j'da-kut and beatboxer Wireless are set to showcase a routine of turntabalistic undertakings.

J'da Kut - Zulu Nation rep, Sensei.fm flag holder and defender of the real, brings it to you on the decks.
