Hailing from New Orleans, Louisiana Big Mike got his start in music as a member of Rap group The Convicts which was an underground group on Houston’s Rap-a-lot Records. He later joined Scarface and Bushwick Bill in the legendary group the Geto Boys and recorded one of the hardest hitting albums of its' time called Till Death Do Us Part.  A year later Big Mike released his classic solo album Something Serious a project that gave birth to 3 massive singles, Having Thangs, World of Mine and Playa Playa. Having featured and performed on numerous compilation’s and movie sound tracks with artists such as, 8 Ball and MJG, Pimp C and South Central Cartel just to name a few he continues to entertain us with a realness to be respected! Mike was also nominated for lyricist of the year at the Source Awards alongside the Notorious B.I.G and Redman. With 2 recent underground releases Keep It Playa and Nawlins Phats, Big Mike is back with a vengeance.
