RAIN has worked with multi platinum producers Tha Bizness and Chad B as well as collaborating with Queensbridge veterans Big Twins from Infamous Mobb and UK r&b singer Nathan and well established reggae artist Tippa Irie.

What’s the Hip-Hop scene and industry like where you live?

Hip hop is bigger in the UK than it was a few years ago. The scene is looking up.  What projects have you released so far and what feedback have you had?  I have released 7 mixtapes; ‘Illusions Of Da Struggle’, ‘The Struggle Continues’, ‘Rainy Days’, ‘Rainy Days - The Sequel’, ‘As The Sun Sets The Rain Pours’, ‘Made In Britain’ and ‘Worldwide Invasion’. Every tape released has had some kind of radio play. I have had songs supported by DJ 279, Jenny Francis, Manny Norte and more…

What would say is the most popular track that you have released to date?

'How’ produced by Baby J and ‘Send Me’ (won home grown song of the week 2 weeks running) on BBC 1xtra with Ras Kwame.

What producers, mixtape DJ’s, record labels and rappers do you work with?

tha bizness, chad b, x.o, nonstop, mayhem, Nathan, katie pearl, tippa irie, big twins (infamous mobb), blade, dj memzee, dj ames, baby j.....

What’s the name of the label are you signed to and who are your label mates?

Rain entertainment.

Tell us about your latest release. Who features and tell us what producers where involved?

Latest mixtape is titled- Intoxicated RAIN hosted by DJ AMES features production by- Tha bizness,Chad b,Nonstop,Candyman and demay artist features include- Money Mayhem, and duke biggz (from brooklyn)

What’s more important a mixtape of jacked beats or a single on original production?

A well written single will count for a lot more than a mixtape. It's easier to write a whole mixtape than it is to write 1 quality single that will work and sell.

What radio stations in are supporting your music, and how important is radio play in the digital age?

I get played on Choice fm,kiss 100,bbc 1xtra and most of the London pirate radio stations and many internet stations worldwide support me with heavy rotation. Radio is important in helping with sales and raising awareness from the fans.

You Tube is a massive medium now for worldwide exposure. Do you have your own channel with music videos on it?

yep  www.youtube.com/morerainuk

What was the last album you downloaded or brought and what else are you listening to at night?

Last album I got was 50 cent's album, at night i listen to a lot of my older material and older rap album from mobb deep,2pac.

What tips and pointers do you have for rappers just coming into the game?

Dont always listen to the yes men cos sometimes people dont wanna tell you the truth be prepared to take constructive criticism and know your only as good as the people you keep around you, know who is best for what job.

Thanks for your time, before you go is there anything you want to add?
