As Hip-Hop Connection magazine gets to its 190th issue it gives us an inside look into the current craze known as Crunk/Dirty South Hip-Hop. With Lil Jon on the cover and things looking ever so bright for the south it is only right that people need to know about it and who better to broadcast it than the legendary Hip-Hop Connection. As usual they never let down any readers with huge articles on Lil Jon, Ludacris, David Banner, Pitbull, Cee-lo and Mike Jones, just to name a few, this issue is bound to captivate viewer. They also have interviews with the rising stars Swiss, Kano and Asher D just to show you they still have love for UK even though it is a southern issue. Perhaps the most interesting thing about this issue is having a look at the Rap-A-Lot back catalogue which contains releases from 1987 just to show you that Southern Hip-Hop did exist when hip-hop was in its golden era (1980's). All the regulars are still there like reviews, home style, independents etc. plus on this issue you get a free TVT CD which features Lil Jon, Pitbull, Young Jeezy plus much more. So it would be worth it cost wise too. But on the whole you really need to get this issue and get it now because it won't be long till the next issue comes out and you will have missed out on a treat. |
