Friday, 11 February 2005 01:15 |
Gotta big up our main man Cee-Rock 'The Fury' for puttin' us on to DJ Sincere. He is a mixtape DJ who has an open-minded approach to the whole Hip-Hop game. This mix drops on a Southern vibe featuring a whole host of well known spitters like David Banner, Petey Pablo, Ying Yang Twins, Lil Flips, TI, Three Six Mafia, 8Ball, Bonecrusher and Youngbloodz, as well unleashing some more harder to obtain material. This mixtape is actually mixed rather than just being a compilation of tracks. Twenty-nine tracks deep you really get a top selection of music here. Check this out if you get chance, this is a heavy mixtape and Sincere needs props for being original.

Friday, 11 February 2005 01:14 |
Unfortunately we never managed to cop Part One, but going on Part Two it looks like we really missed out. This is pure fire with an array of rappers representing fully over well known beats, as well as their own productions and tracks. Its Brooklyn once again in the house and SIC (Strong Island Connection) Industries turns up a hot mixtape. Executive Producer Money I'ss features as does Young Loc, Product G&B, B-EZ, Hammony, Niader and Boo-Yaka, as well 'Ain't No Biggie' which features Biggie Smalls. This is one of the best mixtapes we have heard this year from an underground crew and we can't wait to hear part three.

Friday, 11 February 2005 01:14 |
Coming out of ATL DJ Scream has been putting it down with his 'Only The Crunk' 'Survive' 'Mixtape series. This mixtape totally flips the script and comes with a chopped and screwed mix. Featuring some of the trillest emcees out of the South, the likes of Young Buck, Lil Wayne, BG, TI, Gucci Mane, Lil Jon and Crime Mob amongst others all feature. This is definitely one for the crew-heads and watchout for the tracks on here by Kickstand, definitely an emcee to look out for, as his track 'Easside G' is pure fire. Cop mixtape and anything else by DJ Scream. Tight.

Eminem's career seems to be ever twisting and metaphoring into different things. From THE white rapper, to the label owner that signed 50 Cent, to Hollywood movie actor to now producer, Eminem has contributed towards Hip-Hop simple fact. This mixtape here is like homage to the real Shady Slim and DJ Break has represented to the maximum with awesome blends, remixes and skits. If there was going to be an Eminem mixtape we would bang on the regular it would be this one. All the smashers are on there, but some of them are that well blended they sound like new joints. Make sure you peep DJ Break's website and grab a copy of this, support talent man, you got to!

Things get real durty durty with contributions from the likes of Luda', Flip, Dirtbag, Mike Jones, David Banner, Bun B, Stat Quo and so many more. Feeling the Chamillionare freestyle which is real big, as well Pitbull's collaboration with UGK's Bun B entitled 'Dirty'. |
Friday, 11 February 2005 01:09 |
Well some people say 'if something is worth doing then do it right', we think that ethos applies here! Twenty-eight tracks deep the mixtape features a string of exclusive tracks with some cutting edge new MC's and some well known names. Midi Mafia give it up on a production tip doing beats for the likes of Mos Def, Lil Jon, CNN, Nore and Shakspir which are all worth their weight in gold. Da Riffs also give it up with beats too, Garcia and Mr. Vegas collaborate with DJ EFN on hefty track called 'Let Me See', and Pitbull joins Nore and Heckler on 'Da Hoods'. Really feeling the way this mixtape is put together and verses by Stat Quo, Young Buck, David Banner, Lil Flip, MOP, Kurrupt, Big Tiggah, Nature, Young Zee, Planet Asia, Skillz, Cee-Lo, Kardinall Offishall, Peedi Crack, Wreckonize and Garcia are heavy too (phew!). As this wasn't enough this mixtape comes with a DVD which has over 70 minutes of footage on it. It's a scoop, go buy it now. Go on, hunt it down!!!

Friday, 11 February 2005 01:08 |
Dirty South instrumental CD's are kind of hard to come buy, so it's good to see Gee Damme doing everyone a favour in dropping this awesome instrumental mix. It features a lot of well known Southern beats as well as some more underground stuff too making this one hell of a buy for up and coming MC's. Twenty tracks deep expect to hear beats along the lines of Younglboodz & Lil Jon's 'Damn' anthem, Souljah Slim's (RIP) heavy 'I'll Pay For It', as well as beats from TI, Pastor Troy, Lil Flip, Bonecrusher and Lil Scrappy. This an excellent for DJ's to work as sound-beds on the radio, as well as being excellent for up and coming MC's. Respect due to Gee Damme – you can't do nothing wrong!

DJ OBSCENE & PITBULL - 'Next In Line - Volume Three' |
Friday, 11 February 2005 01:07 |
These Miami cats are killing it in the South with a selection of ill mixtapes. Here the infamous DJ Obscene teams up one of Miami's finest new rappers Pitbull who is just about to drop his debut album 'M.I.A.M.I (Money Is A Major Issue)'. The proceedings start with a beef track from Pitbull which is a lyrical onslaught on the Jamaican reggae star Mr. Vegas. This shows Pitbull ain't an emcee to be f**ked with and comfortably sits next to other featured rappers like DMX, Dipset, Llyod Banks, Fat Joe, AZ, Big Pun, Game, Dre and Mobb Deep. Other freestyles come from Cubo who drops on that double-tempo flow and Skope who also hold his own. Peep this mixtape it's banging.

DJ SNOYL - 'Notorious Blends' |
Friday, 11 February 2005 01:05 |
DJ Snoyl delivers this new mixtape which is all about Biggie. Fans of Biggie will have to own this CD because believe me; this is as heavy as Vlad's classic 2Pac's Rap Phenomenon CD was to Pac's fans. It's blended so well using classic accapella's over new beats. All the big names like Jay-Z, Nas, Busta, Redman, Meth', G Unit, Eminem, Snoop and Slick Rick feature and the blends are done proper tight so it really is like an album more so than a mixtape. The other bonus with this mixtape is that you get a bonus track which is a totally unreleased accapella from 2Pac & Biggie which I know producers and mixtape DJ's will love. Big up to Snoyl for the music, wicked tings.

Friday, 11 February 2005 01:01 |
G Unit soldiers team up with Miami's finest for a classic mixtape in the making. There's a lot of G Unit mixtapes around at the moment and this one of the better ones with a lot of freestyle action, unreleased tracks and total underground tracks that you need in your collection. Feeling 50 Cent's 'Gunz 4 Sale' (Tru Remix) which hits hard, as well as hefty contributions by Young Buck, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, Stat Quo and Pitbull. This is a must for G Unit fans and features thirty tracks that are really hard to get hold off. Mixtapes like this are essential for real heads.
