Pharoahe Monch is the legendary rap artist born in Queens, NY and currently residing in Brooklyn, NY. In 1999 he released his debut album 'Internal Affairs' (Rawkus), later followed by 'Desire' through SRC/Universal in 2007.  Pharoahe Monch is now ready to release his third studio album entitled ‘W.A.R (We Are Renegades)’ dropping October 25th 2010.

On the album you’ll find guest spots from Jill Scott, Styles P, Phonte of Little Brother, Jean Grae, Royce Da 5'9", Idris Elba, Dr. Cornel West (professor from Princeton) & Vernon Reid. Along with production from Exile, M-Phazes, Marco Polo, Diamond D, Mike Low, Samiyam, Fatin, Lee Stone as well as Pharoahe Monch himself.

To kick things off, ‘Shine’ is the first single to be taken from the new album, featuring the vocals of Mela Machinko and production by Diamond D. Watch out for Pharoahe Monch performing alongside the super talented Jean Grae at the Jazz Café on Monday 27th September.
